Interview Questions

THE ASSIGNMENT:

Select someone at your internship to interview. Arrange a time and place that you can conduct the interview. It is a good idea to give the questions you are asking to the interviewee (the person you are going to interview) in advance.

Please use the list of questions below when interviewing your mentor. Select at least 12 or more of these questions to ask the interviewee. You may use all of them if you wish. Again, it would be good to give the interviewee the questions in advance.

TITLE: MIDPOINT REFLECTION

How has the internship been the same as and/or different than your expectations?
My internship has been different that I expect because my mentor use to send to a after school program on wednesday but now my mentor send on monday cause the kids in that school are so disrespectful i hate that. About my intership schedule i also use to go for 4 day now i just go for 3 day.

What is similar and different about the culture of the school environment versus the workplace environment?

where i work sometime the enviroment it not laud and also when u doing ur work they put some nice music but the school environment when the kid come out of school it's very laud and some oof them are so disrespectful.


What new skills have you learned that apply to the workplace? Which of these are transferable skills?
The new skill that learn is to use the printer machine i make copies for people who work there also print papers from book, like last week someone come to internship i make copies for him from his math book he was a teacher


What kind of relationship do you have with your mentor and co-workers? How have you grown as a result of interacting with professional adults? What kinds of communication (verbal and non-verbal skills) have you gained?
I don't undesrtand that question but my answer is i always call her sister bisi and i never disrespect her. Yes because now i dress professoinal and i feel that i'm an adult now.


What challenges at the internship have you faced that you have overcome and how did you overcome them?

The challenge that i face at my internhip is to type resumes put them in order also type them in microsoft excell


What challenges have you faced in school as a result of the altered schedule and how are you handling them?

The challenge that i face in school is do all my project to have a good grade and also come in school early to atend toturing to finsh work that i have.

What goals are you working to accomplish during the remaining five weeks of the internship?

My goal was to search for jobs and send them to seku Ex: i have to click on the start bottum click on search there is a part that called all files and folders click on it and type the person name and save in the desktop then i click on search when the job come out i copy it and paste it then open the gmail then send it to him


What new things have you learned about New York City?

New thing that i learn about new york city is that new york have more gay people then every city inthe U.S

Week Three - Life as a School Intern

I was coping jobs from the internet and paste them to microsoft word also on wednesday they send to another school for after school progarm. The time i start i turn on my computer and start doing my work the time i have to leave i save my work in my folder. I work alone they just have tell me what to do and work on my own. i'm work in a lettle big space

Week 2 - Getting Better Acquainted With Your Site

I do keep good records the work that i'm doing everyday by practicing do what my mentor ask me to do ex: if she ask me resserch sometghing i have do it also save the work when u finish, Always try ur best also never disrespect ur mentor. Maybe because he don't like he intern. The lesson of this story is just forgot about the sad cause ur there to have good skills and for ur grade also ur future too but if she keep doing that u have to change ur intern site cause maybe one day u will get mad and caurs at her and it's not going to be good for u also have to help them about the job cause ur not there to checkon myspace also save ur work and memories it

First Week of Internship

My mentor Name is trecey also the enviroment that i'm working is called the IMANI HOUSE. My first day of my intership i was very nervous. The day from first munite i was fielling out copies about my self my dad phone# My goal for internship is to became a Doctor or business men. The skill that have is to reaserch. The knowledge that i hope that i'm a men very good men The types of work of that i'm doing so far is to find jobs from the internet and paste them in microsoft word. Whydo I have to attend Imani house after school program?

Hey Let me tell u the new thing that i learn in my internship this week, I have a good friend Name sekou, This week he tought me how to use Microsoft Excel, How to put people's Name and their phone# their Work ExperincEx: Some of them have school Lunch Assisten ect... also he sow me how to go open their development job and click on locational job then click on 2009 the Resumes will come out but first I have To go to Gmail and download the Resume make a new folder for the person and type his/her Name also I have learn how to type fast I also learn how use a website called Craigslist.com their is many deffrent kind jobs that people the thing that i was doing in that website is to go click one job with normal email address copy it and open microsoft word and then paste it

my internship called the imani house. the business is to help people find jobs the work that the professionals do there is to help others find jobs people call in the office very time the address is 76-A fifth Avenue Brooklyn the neighborhood is diffrent from our neighborhood because there is stores also many offices next to our office our school neighborhood there is no offices also there is only one store next to our school my mentor name is Treci she kind nice to others if go there for internship u don't know what to do she tell u and explain the work u have to do.
